Privacy Policy

Resultrics ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Resultrics LLC, a company registered in Utah, United States. Resultrics is a multi-organization platform for race results, live timing, and racer profiles. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Racer information submitted by racing organizations, directly or through their event-registration providers (such as MotorsportReg): name, race number, hometown, vehicle, license type, date of birth when the organization supplies it, and historical race results.
- Account information for organization admins and racers who claim their profile: email address, hashed password, and role assignments.
- Usage data such as page views, referrers, and aggregate analytics events, used to improve the service.
- Cookies: a sign-in cookie for account holders, and Google Analytics cookies described below.
How we use information
- To publish race results, live timing, and racer profiles as authorized by the racing organization.
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform.
- To communicate with claimed racers about their profile, claim invitations, and license change requests.
Analytics and Do Not Track
We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate usage of the platform. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Google may associate this information with activity on other websites that use Google services, and processes it under Google's own privacy policy. We do not run third-party analytics on profile pages of racers known to be minors. Like most websites, Resultrics does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Racers under 18
Racer information is submitted by racing organizations; we do not collect it from racers directly. When a racing organization provides a date of birth showing a racer is under 18, we exclude that racer's profile page from search-engine indexing and do not run third-party analytics on it. Under our Terms of Use, accounts for racers under 18 must be created and held by a parent or legal guardian. Parents or guardians with questions about a minor's profile can contact the racing organization or email [email protected].
Uploaded images
Hidden metadata, such as embedded GPS location, is removed from photos uploaded to racer profiles before they are stored.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Race results and racer profile data are public by design — that is the purpose of the platform. Account credentials and contact details are never shared publicly.
Service providers process information on our behalf only as needed to run the platform: cloud hosting (Microsoft Azure), email delivery (ZeptoMail, for account and profile-claim emails), and analytics (Google Analytics, described above). We may also disclose information where required by law.
Where information is stored
Resultrics is operated from the United States, and information is stored and processed on servers located in the United States. If you use the platform from Canada or elsewhere outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where it is subject to United States law. Racing organizations outside the United States that publish through Resultrics remain responsible under their local privacy laws for the member information they collect and submit; we process it on their behalf.
Retention
Published race results and standings are retained indefinitely as part of the historical record of the sport. Account information is retained for as long as the account exists. You can request removal of your account or profile information using the contacts below.
Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, connections to the platform are encrypted (HTTPS), and administrative access is restricted by role. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
Access, correction, and removal
You may request access to, correction of, or removal of your personal information by contacting the racing organization that publishes your results, or by reaching us at [email protected]. Racers who claim their profile can edit much of their profile information directly. Canadian users may also raise unresolved concerns with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date at the top.
